The Delaware Valley Amateur Astronomers bring together fellow admirers of astronomy, no professional degree or certification required, just an earnest interest in celestial objects.Of course, just because you don’t have to have any astronomy experience to join doesn’t mean you won’t find yourself in the presence of star-bright minds in the field. The DVAA hosts monthly meetings, open free of charge to the public, in which professional astronomers stop by from time to time to lend a helping hand towards interpreting recent skyward happenings. Meetings offer some earthly upside as well, providing a great chance to meet local individuals with similar interests and pick the minds of those with more amateur astronomy experience, not to mention access to a selection of free reading materials.
